Sweet Potato Bake

Ingedients
FILLING: 4 large sweet potatoes, 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 5 tablespoons maple syrup, 1/2 teaspoon sea salt, 3/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg, 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon, TOPPING 1/4 cup butter or margarine, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/3 cup flour, 3/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350° 2. Grease a 2-quart casserole dish. 3. Peel and boil sweet potatoes; when done mash with butter until smooth. 4. Add remaining filling ingredients and mix well. 5. Pour into casserole dish. 6. Mix the topping ingredients together until well-combined. 7. Sprinkle topping mixture over the casserole and bake about 50 min, checking occasionally. 8. Serve hot and enjoy!
