Community Collaboration
Collaborating with our community is an essential piece of our mission. Only by working together and listening to those facing food insecurity will we be able to end hunger.
As your local food bank, we prioritize engaging with our neighbors in need in order to understand the unique reality of food insecurity in every community we serve. This can look like holding spaces to hear our neighbors’ feedback, improving our programs to best meet the need, conducting community needs assessments, providing information on support for basic needs and engaging in food councils.
Partnerships
In order to end hunger, we understand that it is necessary to address additional obstacles those in our community may face. By working with other local organizations—such as those focusing on other basic needs, food systems or specialty populations—it is our goal to ensure we take a holistic approach to advocating for those in need. Partnering with groups that are already doing the work to address other issues that intersect with food insecurity allows us to work together to meet the needs of our neighbors.

Community Events & Presentations
Spreading the word about who we are and what we do to the larger community helps us ensure that those who need food assistance have an opportunity to hear about their options. Events are also a wonderful chance for us to educate the local community on who we are! Interested in having a member of the food bank’s staff come and share with your group the importance of fighting hunger in our community?
