COMSTOCK PARK, Mich., February 24, 2023 — Feeding America West Michigan received an $80,000 donation from La Colombe Coffee Roasters to fund the purchase of and graphics installation on a tandem-axle straight truck with a lift gate. The new truck is prioritized for Mobile Pantries in Muskegon, where La Colombe has a manufacturing facility.

La Colombe also donates shelf-stable coffee to the food bank. The donated coffee is offered to partner food pantries and meal programs and is distributed through the Mobile Pantry program.

“The truck that we bought through the grant we received from La Colombe has allowed us to deliver more food via Mobile Pantries in Muskegon County,” said Ryan VanMaldegen, logistics manager at Feeding America West Michigan. “The truck is newer and allows us to deliver food more efficiently, as well as safely with the new liftgate installed.”
