Six teams of chefs from the American Culinary Federation Upper Michigan Chapter (ACFUMC) will be creating a unique menu item to pair with a different Ore Dock beer.

The 80 tickets available cost $65 each and can be purchased directly from Ore Dock’s website. Proceeds will benefit Feeding America West Michigan, a nonprofit that provides millions of meals’ worth of food to Upper Peninsula neighbors in need every year.

The following chef teams are participating in the event.

  • Alden Griffus, Certified Chef de Cuisine, and Derek Estes from Northern Center and Events
  • Dan Lynch and Scott Bousson from Northern Michigan University Dining
  • Eric Juchemich
  • Angela Verburg
  • Robin Holmes, Certified Executive Chef, from Wiles Food Services
  • John Romps, Certified Chef de Cuisine, Stonehouse Restaurant

“We all have a desire to provide for others,” said ACF Upper Michigan Chapter President Eric Juchemich. “I do not know of a better way for chefs to help others than to provide them with a meal. Please join us in raising money for Feeding America West Michigan and help feed those in need.”

“It has been our honor to host events benefitting some of the most influential service organizations in our community and something we have greatly missed over the last year and a half,” said Ore Dock’s Co Founder and General Manager Andrea Pernsteiner. “We are excited to again partner with Feeding America West Michigan and the astute chefs of the ACF Upper Michigan Chapter to bring this event to the Marquette Community.”

“Feeding America West Michigan is honored to be the chosen benefitting nonprofit of this event with Ore Dock Brewing Co. and the ACF Upper Michigan Chapter,” said the food bank’s President and CEO Kenneth Estelle. “Food is at the center of what we all do and we’re glad we can come together to make a big impact!”

About Ore Dock Brewing Co.
Where craft beer and community meet. These words have helped drive the mission at Ore Dock since the beginning. Historically, breweries have played a central role within their communities that extends well beyond the beer they serve. In addition to curating year-round live music and events, the brewery has partnered with local organizations in support of benefits, fundraisers, community events and causes as important to the Upper Peninsula community as the hops and malt are to every craft pint.

About Feeding America West Michigan
Serving local families in need since 1981, Feeding America West Michigan reclaims millions of meals’ worth of safe, surplus food from various sources. With the help of countless volunteers, the food bank sorts, stores and distributes this food through a network of more than 800 partners to fill hundreds of thousands of neighbors’ plates instead of landfills. The food bank’s service area consists of 40 of Michigan’s 83 counties from the Indiana border north through the Upper Peninsula. For more information, visit FeedWM.org or call 616-784-3250.
