Michigan Gateway Community Foundation to provide 12,500 meals for Cass County residents through grant

COMSTOCK PARK, Mich., Dec. 11, 2019 — Michigan Gateway Community Foundation’s Youth Advisory Council has awarded Feeding America West Michigan with a $2,475 grant. The funding will provide three 5,000 pound Mobile Food Pantries at Marcellus Community Food Pantry in Cass County.

In Cass County, 5,960 people face hunger – 1,660 are children. These food distributions aim to serve 100 families each. In the end, an estimated 300 families equating to approximately 690 individuals will be served.
