Glad tidings, indeed! This December, Ore Dock Brewing Company in Marquette pledged to donate $1 to Feeding America West Michigan for every pint of Glad Tidings English-Style IPA they sold. But they didn’t stop there. They encouraged bars and restaurants across the Upper Peninsula to do the same.
The result was a combined donation of $2,281, enough to fund the distribution of 9,124 meals to people in need in West Michigan and the Upper Peninsula.
Feeding America West Michigan serves 40 counties in Michigan, including the entire Upper Peninsula. The food bank provides food to local hunger-relief agencies and distributes groceries directly to people in need through its Mobile Food Pantry program.
