The Livery Hosts Community Pint Night, Feb. 9

Livery-Brewing-Edible Michiana

On Thursday, February 9, The Livery Microbrewery is hosting a Community Pint Night to benefit Feeding America West Michigan.

For each pint sold between 5 and 8 p.m., the Benton Harbor brewery will donate 50 cents — the equivalent of two meals — to the hunger-relief organization. In addition to partaking in The Livery’s hand-forged ales, patrons can enter a raffle to win a Made-in-Michigan gift basket from Feeding America West Michigan.

Feeding America West Michigan serves 40 counties in West Michigan and the Upper Peninsula and operates a branch warehouse in Benton Harbor. From that branch, the organization provides food to more than a hundred local food pantries, soup kitchens, and child hunger agencies in Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren counties. The need for food in the region remains high, as one in five kids in Berrien County struggles with hunger.

Staff members from the organization will be on hand to talk about their effort to solve hunger in Southwest Michigan.
